Hepatitis B Vaccine
Generally after the first dose of HBV vaccine, there can be up to 50% protection. It is very important to receive the third shot to ensure 100%, long term protection. Antibodies begin to develop within 2 weeks from the vaccination. Protection is considered complete when the titer reaches >/= 10ml IU/ml. The best time to get a high titer result is 1 to 2 months after the last dose of vaccine.
