Advanced technology for the earliest detection.

Traditional methods for detecting HIV (HIV antibody test) and other STDs may require a waiting time of as long as 3 months. Early detection of HIV by advanced HIV PCR technology can greatly reduce the time you have to wait for reliable test results. This means you no longer have wait 3 months to know your HIV status. We also provide testing for early detection of STDs like chlamydia, N. gonorrhea and even genital herpes.

Free Testing by your Public Health Clinic.

Free testing services for HIV, STDs and other communicable diseases are often provided through your local department of health. If cost is the biggest issue, then your local health department may be your best option. Testing may be offered for free or for a reduced cost. The cost for testing may also be based on income so you may have to qualify for free services.

What to expect from free testing.

This type of testing is a free service designed to protect the best interest of the general public. It is not designed to be fast or convenient.

Unfortunately, free testing programs are often underfunded. Due to limited resources, free testing often cannot compare to paid laboratory testing.

You might find the hours of operation to be limited or encounter a long wait when you get to the clinic. More importantly, your test results may take weeks to come back. If you have no money for testing, the answer is obvious. Otherwise we encourage you to consider our fast and affordable testing options.

Fast and Private Testing Options

If privacy and convenience are your primary concerns, you may prefer testing at one of our private collection centers. Public health departments are just that-public! All testing at About My Health is private, state-of-the-art, laboratory based testing. We do not use alternative forms of testing, such as lesser quality test kits, which have been proven to have a higher rate of false positive and false negative test results.

For a very reasonable cost we can get you tested quickly and get test results returned to you faster than most other testing options. If you are paying out-of-pocket, you will find that we charge a lot less for the exact same testing you might pay as much as $600-700 elsewhere.
